KE Wilson Art
In capturing the beauty of the natural world I hope to increase awareness of its intrinsic value, its inherent worth.
Expressive use of colour and semi-abstracted forms invite the viewer to respond - my works have been described as ‘dreamlike’, ‘peaceful’, 'mysterious' and ‘enticing'.

As a child, roaming across paddocks and along dirt tracks, I was always in contact with nature, immersed in the sensory experience of place. Living in the country, to get anywhere we had to travel through the landscape – bouncing around on the back seat of the Kingswood I would be peering out the window, eating up the magic of ever-changing scenes.
Without access to metropolitan art schools, or even art as a subject at school, I am largely self-taught.
Living with a chronic condition that limits my physical capacity, I paint when windows of opportunity arise.
When I am unable to travel far, painting gives me a way to connect with place.
